She walked to the white board in the conference room and she realized that for once in her life she was going to be bold. Do whatever she felt needed to be done.
The meeting would be held in about twenty minutes so she needed to get her task done.
He would see her missive and hopefully he would get the hint.
No more would she remain silent in her pain.
She grabbed a blue pen and began to write.
There were things you wanted to tell me
And there were things I was dying to say.
But you were scared
And my voice faltered
So we both sewed our lips shut
and buried it away.
She signed the bottom; By the Stranger
She tossed the pen into the tray and stalked out of the room.
Holy shit she was tired of skulking around in the shadows, hiding where she could not be seen and licking her wounds.
She had enough of these men who think they could do whatever they desired.
Screw them.
She would pack her stuff, move away down south and spend her days in the beautiful places alone.
Alone would be better than having people lie, cheat and hurt her.
She let the door slam shut behind her.
